Schoolgirl Held Over Girl's Death | Quote: | A 14-year-old girl is being questioned as part of a murder inquiry after the death of a teenager in West Yorkshire.
The 16-year-old girl was found serious stab injuries at a house in Ovenden, Halifax, on Monday night, but died at Calderdale Royal Hospital.
West Yorkshire Police said: "The 16-year-old was taken to hospital but later died of her injuries."
A 14-year-old female who was also treated at hospital was released and then taken to a police station.
A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said two ambulances and an operations supervisor went sent to the incident, with the first call received at 2254 BST.
She said two females, aged 14 and 16, were taken to hospital suffering from stab injuries.
Police officers stood guard outside the house on Tuesday lunchtime as forensic officers conducted their investigations inside. |
