Harry Is Embarrassment | Quote: | Prince Harry is "dangerously becoming an embarrassment to this country", a veteran royal photographer has said.
Arthur Edwards, who works for The Sun newspaper, criticised the 22-year-old Army officer over pictures which showed him allegedly lashing out at a member of the paparazzi as he left a nightclub.
Edwards called Harry a "fabulous young man" but said he should be "behaving a lot better".
The Prince is currently on leave from the Army ahead of being sent to Iraq for a six-month tour of duty.
Speaking to the BBC, Edwards said: "I think Prince Harry is dangerously becoming an embarrassment to this country.
"I like Prince Harry. I think he's just a fabulous young man, but you know he is an Army Officer now and that behaviour last week when he staggers out, falling over out of nightclubs, trying to attack a photographer.
"If he'd have hit that photographer we could have been all outside Horseferry Rd Magistrates' Court last week, seeing him face a charge of assault.
"He's a commissioned officer in the British Army in a really top regiment. He should be behaving a lot better and he knows that if he goes to these nightclubs paparazzi hang around."
Interviewer Stephen Sackur asked: "So you think he's an embarrassment?"
Edwards replied: "I think he's an embarrassment now yes. I think he's becoming very embarrassing."
Clarence House has declined to comment. |

So, according to this journalist, Prince Harry is like George Bush (only not elected)?

It certainly sounds like it.

I guess in some ways with the position he's in he probably does have an element of responsibility to watch his behaviour, but at the same time he's a 22 year old young man, so cut him a little bit of slack. He's just rebelling a bit I think, it must be quite suffocating living the life of a Royal and an Army Officer.
