Anna Nicole doctor investigated | Quote: | A psychiatrist who is said to have prescribed drugs to the late Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith is being investigated, a US official has said.
A spokeswoman for the California medical board confirmed Dr Khristine Eroshevich was the subject of a probe but gave no further details.
Documents from the medical examiner show Dr Eroshevich prescribed 11 drugs found in the room where Ms Smith died.
Officials have confirmed she died of an accidental overdose of sleeping pills.
Last month Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said the 39-year-old former Playboy centrefold had been taking a variety of sleeping pills, anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs.
"I can only tell you that she [Eroshevich] is being investigated in connection with the Anna Nicole Smith matter," medical board spokeswoman Candis Cohen said.
There was no immediate comment from the Los Angeles-based psychiatrist.
Ms Smith's death, on 8 February, triggered legal battles in the US and the Bahamas over control of her body and the paternity of her baby, who could inherit millions of dollars. |
I think that this is going to drag on forever, with the conspiracy theorists crawling out of the woodwork and speculating on her life and death, when they should just let her rest in peace.

About two weeks ago, Rhiannon was talking on the phone with Sevare while I was on the computer. Suddenly, she busted out laughing. I gave her a questioning look, and she told me that Sevare was about to put his bid in for Smith's baby.

It's that baby I feel sorry for, hopefully in the end she'll get a nice and stable, loving, secure upbringing that will well prepare her for when she hears about the furore surrounding the death of the mother she never had a chance to know.
