The 58-year-old will spend time on the International Space Station.
He took off on the Russian Soyuz TMA-10 spaceship with cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin and Oleg Kotov soon.
He is carrying a special dinner packed in an aluminium container which he will share with ISS colleagues on April 12, which is Cosmonauts Day in Russia.

Although I'll admit that it would possibly be a pretty awsome experience, personally I couldn't think of anything worse! The prospects of simply having to fly in a plane make me feel sick, never mind actually leaving the Earth's atmosphere.
