A song of Ice and fireIf you want to read something gritty and fairly realistic, then George R. R. Martins "A Song of Ice and Fire" series might be just the thing. It's a fantasy world based loosely on the 100 year war of England, I believe. It's knights and swords fantasy, with just a smidgen of magic.Be warned though, there are some adult themes, including a few rape scenes.
