| Quote: | Police have issued an urgent appeal for help in tracing a black car they believe was abandoned following the shooting of a mother-to-be in London.
Krystal Hart, 22, was shot twice in the head in her flat in Clapham, south west London, on Friday morning.
A 40-year-old man is being questioned over the shooting and officers have requested help in finding a black Volkswagen Golf car.
Detectives think the five-door Golf, registration J326 KCK, was abandoned after the murder.
A spokeswoman for Scotland Yard said: "We believe the suspect was in possession of the car at the time of the murder before later abandoning it - possibly in the south London or Surrey area.
Police had been looking for a white man aged between 30 and 50 over the killing, which detectives have said may be linked to a dispute with a neighbour.
Ms Hart's mother, Deborah Penfold, said her daughter was "indescribable in every way", adding that her death left "a gap which will never be filled".
Officers and paramedics were called to the flat shortly after 11am on Friday, but Ms Hart, who was three months' pregnant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination showed that she died from two gunshot wounds to the head.
Detectives took the unusual step of revealing that they believed the killing may be linked to a row dating back "many months" although police no longer believe it was sparked by a dispute over parking.
Ms Hart's stepfather Clive Lawrence, 50, has told how he installed cameras in Ms Hart's flat because of the dispute.
It is not thought police are looking for anyone else at this stage. |
What I want to know is, when they catch who did it, will he be charged with 2 murders, since she was pregnant, he's also murdered the baby.

I think I've heard something along those lines before where a pregnant woman was killed and the murderer was done for 2 deaths, but I think she was a lot further on. I suppose it might depend on how far pregnant the victim is at the time. At only 3 months I have a feeling it won't happen in this case.
