I'm so glad this fantastic program has returned to our screens. The 1st episode was brilliant. I think I'm gonna like the new assistant. I wasn't sure at 1st because I really liked Billie Piper as Rose and was sad to see her go, but Freema seems to be able to fill her shoes quite nicely. And of course the very lovely DT returning as the Doctor.... need I say more?

I'm ashamed to say I don't watch it. DT is very cute however, what else have I seen him in? I'm having a senior moment and can't remember.

He's been in, among other things, Casanova, Blackpool and was Barty Crouch Jr in Goblet of fire, and recently he was in a BBC production called Recovery which was fantastic and so sad it had me in tears by the end.

I've only seen a few episodes so far (because I don't have cable or satellite), but I loved it. I used to watch the old show often when I was younger.
I remember telling my ex that I'd wish someone would update Doctor Who (like Star Trek: The Next Generation compared to the original series). She said it would never happen because the "cheesiness" of Doctor Who was "part of it's appeal." I'm so glad that this new series proves her (partially) wrong, because its got the best of the old and better graphics.
EDIT: Oh, Mal or Snowie . . . is a url okay in my signature? Don't want to put there without asking first.

Thanks, Mal.
Say, did anyone see the episode with devil/demon? I missed it, although I saw the first part. That's what I get for not having cable or satellite. Anyway, is it good as I hope it is?

Was that The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit episodes where they land on a space station next to a black hole? If so then yeah it's a goody so you'll have to try and see it. We're lucky over here because obviously you don't need cable or satellite to see it as it's shown on normal terrestrial telly!
Last weeks episode was good as well, they ended up having an adventure with Shakespeare, and some witches! I'm still liking the new assistant which is good.
I could get very disgusted with the BBC tomorrow night though because the footy final's on and if it runs into extra time then they'll postpone the episode until next week!!!!!

Yes, that's it, Snowie. I saw the first part (which I assume is "Impossible Planet"?) but missed the second.
Footy finals? As is in "football" (a.k.a. "soccer")? If so . . . I hate it when sports boot my shows off until the following week. Well, I guess since I'm not really watching TV these days, I shouldn't complain . . .
